Britney Spears’ Memoir “The Woman In Me” To Be Published On October 24
The memoir of famous pop star Britney Spears will be published on October 24 in several territories. Penguin Random House publishers were able to secure the rights to German, Spanish and Portuguese language editions of “The Woman in Me”. According to Penguin Verlag, it is a “brave and astonishingly moving story”.
“The Woman In Me” is the title of pop star Britney Spears’ memoir, which Penguin Random House will publish on October 24 in several territories. The publishing group secured the licensing rights to German, Spanish and Portuguese language editions of the book. While the German language edition will be published by Penguin Verlag, Penguin Random House Grupo Editorial will bring the memoir of the superstar to market across the Spanish-speaking territories and in Portugal. Der Hörverlag will publish the German audiobook. The book will be published on October 24 around the world in 17 languages.
According to the publisher, “The Woman in Me” is “a brave and astonishingly moving story about freedom, fame, motherhood, survival, faith and hope.” It is the story of an “incredible journey – and the strength at the core of one of the greatest performers in pop music history. After a series of scandals, her father Jamie Spears had taken over guardianship of his daughter in 2008. It was not until 2021 that a court revoked the guardianship. “Britney’s compelling testimony in open court shook the world, changed laws, and showed her inspiring strength and bravery,” said Jennifer Bergstrom, Senior Vice President and Publisher of Gallery Books. “I have no doubt her memoir will have a similar impact and will be the publishing event of the year.
